Learning objectives
1. Formulate the core concepts, theories and debates underpinning sport and recreation for youth development, situating them within both global scholarship and African lived realities.
2. Investigate practical tools and methods for delivering sport and recreation for youth development in low-resource, high-need community settings.
3. Synthesise how sport and recreation for youth development intersects with gender, environment, mental health and governance within the SWEEP integrated practice model.
4. Examine a workable action plan, case protocol or enterprise concept applying the principles of sport and recreation for youth development to a real community context.
