Learning objectives
• Construct the core concepts, theories and debates underpinning oil spill response and community recovery, situating them within both global scholarship and African lived realities.
• Appraise practical tools and methods for delivering oil spill response and community recovery in low-resource, high-need community settings.
• Formulate how oil spill response and community recovery intersects with gender, environment, mental health and governance within the SWEEP integrated practice model.
• Investigate a workable action plan, case protocol or enterprise concept applying the principles of oil spill response and community recovery to a real community context.
