Course Overview
Course Nine trains learners to design and support inclusive recreation and social participation opportunities for older adults and persons with disabilities, directly addressing the isolation risk identified in Course Six, and to advocate for rights and inclusion at both the individual and community level. This course positions social participation and recreation not as a peripheral 'nice to have' but as a core dimension of dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life, consistent with this certificate's core empowerment and inclusion principles.
The course also consolidates advocacy skill specifically applied to aging and disability rights, building on the CRPD and disability justice foundation established in Course Two.
