Child Protection and Safeguarding

Child Protection is the process of preventing and responding to all forms of violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harmful practices affecting children. Every child has the right to survive, develop, participate, and be protected regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, or social status.

This course introduces participants to child rights principles, international and national child protection frameworks, safeguarding responsibilities, case management, reporting mechanisms, and community-based approaches that promote children's safety and wellbeing. Learners will gain the knowledge and practical skills required to identify risks, respond appropriately to child protection concerns, and contribute to safer environments for children in homes, schools, communities, institutions, and humanitarian settings.

By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
